Neil Farber lives and works in Winnipeg, Canada. He is the uncle of fellow Royal Art Lodge artist Marcel Dzama. The imaginative pieces frequently illustrate the world of a character that Farber calls “Poppo”. In particular, they follow the artist’s journey through a Dante-esque universe with Poppo serving as guide after the manner of Virgil. Farber’s works tend to evoke a sense of pity while examining feelings of isolation and loneliness through the scope of his humorous drawings.
