Palacio’s color photographs capture details and fragments of familiar surroundings. Teetering somewhere between the knowable and unknowable, these photographs point out the subtle oddities of daily life and reveal harmonies and delicate beauty in what we often over look. Palacio captures what some might see as strange solutions, whether building fences around tree stumps, or a 10 inch tall picket fence to protect a pristine lawn.
