Lena Cronqvist is a renowned Swedish painter and sculptor. As a result of being institutionalized for schizophrenia for much of her life, Cronqvist’s work returns to the themes of her childhood. The psychological tension in her characters and fresh, unlabored brush technique convey and infectious honesty of presence.
